Meet Heather Holt: Host of Change Happened, Then What?

Heather Holt is the creator and host of Change Happened, Then What?, a podcast born from personal tragedy and shaped by resilience. After losing her only brother to suicide, Heather made the courageous choice to rebuild her life. She set out to discover what happiness really meant—and how to find it in everyday moments.

Her path has been one of healing and discovery. Through therapy, yoga, deep conversations, and spiritual practices, Heather has met incredible people and gathered tools to help herself and others move forward through grief and change.

A Second Life-Altering Change: Brain Surgery and Recovery

In 2021, Heather was diagnosed with a vestibular schwannoma, a benign brain tumor. After a 12-hour brain surgery, she woke up to learn that she had lost hearing in her right ear—and the ability to smile on the right side of her face due to facial paralysis.

What followed was a new kind of journey: rebuilding her physical smile and rediscovering joy from the inside out.

From Audio Engineer to Storyteller

Heather holds a degree from Full Sail and has worked as an audio engineer. Her technical skill, combined with a passion for storytelling, shines through each week on the podcast. With warmth and honesty, she invites guests to share raw, meaningful stories of transformation.

Her mission? To help listeners find their own “then what?” moments—and maybe even their smile again.
