Heather Holt (me) is the host of “Change happened, then what?” A show that was created out of the profound loss of her only brother to suicide, which transformed her life in such a way that she chose to live a new life dedicated to finding happiness in every day. Heather’s journey is one of resilience and determination, as she sought out different therapies, modalities, conversations, and yoga practices, meeting incredible people along the way, all in the pursuit of happiness.

In 2021, Heather faced another life-altering event when she was diagnosed with a vestibular schwannoma (a benign tumor) in her brain. After a 12-hour brain surgery, she woke up to find that she would be deaf in her right ear and that her physical smile had been taken from her, as the right side of her face was left paralyzed. Despite this, Heather embarked on a new journey to reconstruct her physical smile and find true happiness inside and out.

With a true passion for laughter and happiness in her daily life, Heather brings a lifetime of lessons learned through her own experiences to her podcast. As an audio engineer with a degree from Full Sail and a deep passion for storytelling, Heather’s creativity and hope shine through each week as she shares inspirational stories with her guests. Her goal from behind the mic is to help listeners find their inner and outer smile too, making each episode a beacon of hope and joy.

Fun Fact:

Heather Holt is not only a Certified Kundalini yoga teacher and Reiki Master, but also an avid hunter! When she’s not recording her podcast, you can find her and her husband with their two black labs, Waylon and Dalton, building something, wandering in the woods, or hunting. There have always been hunters and there have always been gatherers to conserve and preserve not only our bodies but our land as well, Heather believes that to sustain balance in life, you must be in touch with both your spirituality and humanity. Through these practices, she has found much peace and gratitude for the animals, life, and nourishment received from both.
