About Nadine Ellis
Nadine Ellis is an author, poet, university lecturer, and medical academic. Her work explores resilience, trauma healing, and the power of self-expression. As a late-diagnosed autistic woman, Nadine brings a unique neurodivergent lens to storytelling, She uses poetry as a way to process experience, communicate emotion, and give language to a life once lived in silence.
An abuse survivor of both childhood and marriage, Nadine openly shares her journey through trauma, motherhood, and rebuilding identity. In her twenties, while raising three young children in a failing marriage, she turned to writing as a form of survival. Poetry became her therapy, a way to release what could not be spoken.
With limited financial options in her thirties, Nadine re-educated herself as an adult. She completes high school before earning multiple degrees in medical radiations. She went on to build a career as a radiographer then became a university lecturer, teaching in the field for over a decade.
Today, Nadine is remarried and the mother of four daughters. Her life reflects both strength and transformation—turning adversity into purpose through education, storytelling, and creative expression.
Her book, The Grey Between, is a collection of healing poetry that explores the balance between light and dark, pain and joy. Through her writing, Nadine offers a powerful reminder that we are not alone in our struggles. And that even in life’s most difficult moments, there is space for hope.
