Narrative Storytelling After Life-Altering Change

Heather Holt narrative — Podcast Host & Guest

Why This work matters –

Heather’s work is not theoretical — it’s lived.

After losing her only brother to suicide, she faced a question many people quietly carry: Now what? Instead of collapsing into that question, she began rebuilding. Through therapy, yoga, spiritual exploration, and deep conversation, she started searching for meaning inside the ordinary moments of life.

Then in 2021, another life-altering moment arrived.

Heather was diagnosed with a vestibular schwannoma — a benign brain tumor. After a 12-hour surgery, she woke up having lost hearing in her right ear and the ability to smile on the right side of her face due to facial paralysis.

Recovery became more than physical. It became a deeper rediscovery of joy, identity, and self-acceptance.

The podcast was born from that space — not as a project, but as a calling.

Heather’s Approach –

Specializing in story-driven conversations about what happens after life-altering change.

She is the creator and host of Change Happened, Then What?, a podcast centered on real human experiences of grief, resilience, healing, identity shifts, and reinvention. Her hosting style is reflective, grounded, and emotionally safe — prioritizing lived experience over advice and storytelling over performance.

Heather approaches each episode as a narrative journey rather than a traditional interview. Guests are invited to share openly, without pressure, in conversations designed to feel human, thoughtful, and deeply heard.

She is best suited for audiences and collaborations focused on:

Storytelling as a healing practice

Mental health and emotional resilience

Grief and loss

Life after diagnosis or trauma

Identity shifts and reinvention
