“At some point in the 500-2,000-year history of your maternal lineage (mother to mother to mother) there was a Fula woman.” “Everyone on your entire maternal lineage, from the past and into the future shares ancestry with this groups/bloodline.”

About Queen Michele:

Queen D. Michele is an author, blogger, retired educator, mindfulness creator, and conscious living advocate. Through her work, she encourages others to embrace healing, transformation, wellness, and spiritual growth. Her story is one of courage, reinvention, and purpose.

After retiring from teaching in 2015, she made a life-changing decision. Instead of continuing down a path that no longer felt aligned, she moved from Atlanta to Mexico in 2017. That leap of faith opened the door to global travel, spiritual awakening, authorship, and personal transformation.

From 2017 to 2021, Queen D. Michele lived in the Lake Chapala region of Jalisco, Mexico. During that time, she documented her experiences through her blog, Keeping Tabs in Mexico, and her book, Considerations: A Guide for Moving Abroad. As a result, she helped others better understand the realities, challenges, and rewards of living abroad. Her experiences also inspired her wellness brand, Considerations of the Soul.

Today, she continues her international journey in San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico. She returned there in 2025 as a permanent resident.

Later, her journey took another meaningful turn. Through African Ancestry DNA testing, she discovered that her lineage traces back to the Fula Tribe of Guinea-Bissau in West Africa. In 2023, she traveled there and documented the experience through her nonprofit organization, the Fula History & Genealogy Society in America.

As a result, her work expanded into conversations about ancestry, identity, generational trauma, healing, and reconnecting with cultural roots. During the same trip, she also visited Egypt and cruised the Nile River. These experiences deepened her connection to heritage and spiritual reflection.

In addition, Queen D. Michele is passionate about mindfulness and emotional wellness. She created 52 Insights for Gen Alpha: A Conscious Curriculum, a program designed for students in grades 7–9. The curriculum promotes self-awareness, mindfulness, emotional intelligence, relationship skills, social awareness, and conscious decision-making.

She is also the author of Traveling Home Together. This spiritual guidebook supports people experiencing awakening, transformation, and shifts in consciousness. To further support readers, she created the YouTube channel Moving Inward & Onward and the companion blog Flowing & Growing.

Additionally, her eBook The Road to WellBeing explores six key areas of wellbeing: spiritual, emotional, mental, physical, social, and financial health. Through practical insights and reflective guidance, she encourages readers to create more balance, peace, and purpose in their lives.

Whether speaking about living abroad, spiritual awakening, generational trauma, mindfulness, wellness, education, or conscious transformation, Queen D. Michele brings wisdom, authenticity, and lived experience to every conversation. Most importantly, her story reminds others that it is never too late to reinvent yourself, heal deeply, and live with intention.
